West Jordan architect MHTN has won the Intermountain Architect of the Year Award for 2010.

Big D Construction has been selected as the contractor for the Millcreek Community Center. Ground breaking is expected in June.

The West Jordan Library Complex construction documents are 90% complete. They are on track to be 100% complete by the end of May and a construction firm is expected to be selected in late June.

The West Jordan Library Complex plans have been approved by the West Jordan City Planning Department.

Both the new Millcreek Community Center Library and the new Herriman Library will have a "sorter" or automated library material handlers installed at the end of the buidling construction.

The Magna Library groundbreaking has been scheduled for September 15, 2009 at 10am at the new site.

Local firm, Onyx Construction, has been chosen to build the new Magna library.

Okland Construction has already dug the footing holes, built the forms and poured the footers at the new Herriman library site.

Salt Lake County Library Services is pleased to announce the groundbreaking ceremonies on Wednesday, July 1 at 11:00 a.m. for a new library in Herriman City. The new library will replace the existing facility in Herriman, and will be located at 5440 W. Main Street. Attending the groundbreaking ceremonies will be Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon, Salt Lake County Library Services Director James D. Cooper, Herriman City Mayor J. Lynn Crane, and representatives from the Salt Lake County Council and the Library Board. This event is open to the public.

MHTN Architects has been selected as the design firm for the new West Jordan Library.

The 50% Design Development Documents have been submitted and are in review.

The 90% Construction Design Specifications for the new Magna Library have been submitted and are in review.

Architectural Nexus has been selected for the design of of the East Millcreek Community Center. Nexus has extensive experience in the design of libraries and other civic projects.

The design of the new Herriman library has been awarded to EDA architects. EDA is a local firm with 55 years of experience.

The last building has been demolished on the new Magna library site. The Lions Club building was torn down this week to make room for the new library.
